The Regional Student Diversity Summit (RSDS) is a one-day diversity conference for students and faculty of Southern California's independent high schools. Students from The Bishop’s School, Francis Parker School, La Jolla Country Day, and Pacific Ridge, have organized this grassroots initiative around the theme: Introspection: Reflecting on the Past, Evolving Through the Present to Change the Future. This conference focuses on respectful dialogue, the relationship between current and systemic issues, and the potential youth have to catalyze change within their communities and beyond. To comprehensively understand these principles, participating students and faculty engage with keynote speakers and workshop leaders from around the country on topics of social justice and institutional equity, and students will build connections between themselves in affinity spaces. The third annual RSDS will be taking place at The Bishop’s School on Saturday, February 4th, 2023. A permission form with approval from a local school administrator is required for attendance.
We are so incredibly grateful for the support and collaboration of our schools, and look forward to many more years of RSDS!

Our goal is to include as many voices and perspectives to the on-going discussion around diversity, equity, and inclusion. We will ensure that all students who wish to participate will be able to do so. Given that the 2021 RSDS is virtual, if anyone requires internet access or a device to be a part of our conference, please reach out to us, so that we can help facilitate a conversation with your respective school. In future years, when in-person, we will assure that all willing participants can attend RSDS.
